Really poor ball/strike calls. Even one bad call can change an entire at bat, And affect future at bats. Now that they have tinkered with tradition and a bunch of new rules, they might as well go all the way and ditch the human umps. Why should every game always have players adjust to the quirks and fallibilities of each ump?

Exactly what I've been saying too for the last two years. 

The game needs to have a consistent strike zone.

Think Detmers will get better as the season goes on. Dude went from throwing 92 MPH to 95+ with a 90 MPH slider. Gonna take some time to harness it and command it better. The formula is there though with him locating high FB's and then going with the slider/curves down

Agree 100%

Had this philosophy for years now.

Umpires affecting the outcome of the game needs to stop. Have them out there to keep the game moving, make sure rules are being followed, besides that we don't need 'em.

It's 54 degrees in L.A. with wind gusts up to 50 MPH, so it's not a whole lot better down here!  I have two shade sails on my patio that are attached to my roof and both already blew down.

Rengifo!   Angels battle back...again!   What a difference from last year getting hits with runners in scoring position.  Strikeouts in the same situation appear to be way down as well.
