Manoah (2.43) is only 0.01 better than Ohtani (2.44) in ERA for 4th lowest in the AL.

Shohei would have to give off the Steve Carlton Phillies vibe for a Cy. Carlton won half his team's total victories before he flew off to the Cards. At least I think it happened that way. It was a long, long time ago in another century. Too lazy to check 1964 or thereabouts.

It was 1972.  He won 27 of their 59 total wins that year. And you've got it backwards: he started with the Cardinals, then got traded to the Phillies.

He's just a strike throwing machine.  He already puts the FB wherever he wants ala Schilling.  Taylor Trammell has put on a lot off good weight.  Its going to be interesting seeing what he ultimately ends up becoming.

Trammell still strikes out too much and doesn't make enough contact, but he has good power.

Angels had to put Barría in the 8th there because they were short-handed on high leverage relievers after Nevin used Herget and Tepera last night instead of just letting Herget go back out for the 9th.

Now, it seems like Loup will have to close it out.
