Considering the disingenuous actions of the outgoing coach, it is no surprise. I have no issue with Riley taking another job. What I do have an issue with is him lying to the athletic director about the situation, and preaching loyalty to coach over school. About 50 players left the program when he went west (Not all to USC, of course). He stripped the incoming recruiting class as well. Hard to be competitive under those circumstances Karma, baby.

I’ll be honest @Vegas Halo Fan.  I don’t have a dog in this fight, but what USC did this year, using the portal to their advantage, while not illegal, made a lot of people root against them, me included.  Again, it’s not against the rules, but to take the #1 QB, #1 WR, a top 5 RB as well as 23 other players, makes me root against them.

Its like how people root against the Yankees or the Dodgers for stacking their teams.  I have nothing against USC, per se, but I certainly wasn’t rooting for them by any means.  Like I don’t root for Alabama either.

The transfer portal makes recruiting easier.  Screw it.  Let a highly recruiting kid go to a school for a year or two, get buried in the depth chart, then leave with no repercussions.  Like free agency.

It takes the guess work out and they don’t have to sit for a year.  Throw in a few NIL dollars (like a million or 2) and it makes it even better.

I will give credit where credit is due.  Jim Harbaugh has done a great job at Michigan the last 2 years after being on the proverbial hot seat.

18-1 in the B1G the last 2 years and beating tOSU the last 2 years is saying something.

His QB followed him. The coach that recruited him from hs. Best QB coach in the game. No brainer 

Addison spent spring ball with Slovis and decided to dip. Who can blame him ?

usc has zero depth and needed to hit the portal. They’re gonna finish out the HS class and hit the portal again.

helton left USC’s roster in shambles.
 

so from 4-8 to 11-2 in NY6 bowl is a little bit of a miracle.
