Regarding Sacramento, I agree. I never understand the point of living in CA if you can't live on the coast - aside from a place here and there. I mean, might as well live somewhere cheaper.

That said, the Yuba river has some great swimming holes. Lots of naked hippy chicks.

Probably because you can always just drive to awesome places or the coast if you want to. Very hard to drive to the coast in Iowa or whatever state you were thinking.

Living in California is horseshit.

If you grew up there in 80's, 90's, even early 2000's you realize the coast isn't worth it anymore, and even recently, you don't miss the bum camps or liberals.

I LOVE it here. The weather and things to do are better than any other place I've been. Sorry about your experiences with California.
