I'm pretty sure Trout called in sick for the title game.  I'm more of a fan of doing it for the first weekend of March Madness, but I get it.

The best weekend of the year. Did Vegas for about 15 straight years. We lived in the sportsbook.

The Vegas trip is great, done it once with a bunch of friends and once with dad.  Circa looks nuts.  Harder now that I unfortunately live on the east coast (hence going to Philly for the sweet 16 this year), and though not as fun as being in Vegas for the ultimate boys weekend, that hasn't stopped me from betting it.

Patrick O'Neal attempted to make a film reference when talking about the little electronic gizmo catchers are using to communicate pitch calls to pitchers.  Of course, being O'Neal, he butchered it.  He said, "That's so HAL 2000," apparently meaning to reference the computer from 2001: A Space Odyssey.  It's actually HAL 9000.

Obviously, this is not that big of a deal--but, man, he's really just a bad announcer all around.
