That's good news as we won't have to worry about the Angels losing Stefanic, Pina, or another non-protected player.

the rule V draft doesn't really seem to help or hurt anyone all that much.  It's pretty much the prequel to guys claimed off waivers in a couple years.

Once in a blue moon there is a guy who is drafted and does amazing. I feel like there is more success in the minor league phases. 

Garrett Whitlock was last years success story for the Red Sox.

Johan Santana is the biggest name. Dan Uggla. Shane Victorino (2x). Very few stars.

It's a good year for the Angels for it to be cancelled. They'd stand to lose more than they'd gain, this time around.
