I got hooked on noory last year. Not because I "liked it", but id listen to kfi all day at work during covid for news. And i just got used to keeping the channel there.

My lord theres some weirdos out there.

I used to listen to Noory as well.  But, after some time, you find that he rotates the same guests over and over.  And, every time you hear one of them, they sound a little more batshit crazy.

Funny enough, I cant even really say I "listened". I listened to the channel all day, then would just sort of come around at some point like "what the hell am i listening to?"

And then Id be too lazy to change it.... and did that everyday going forward

As long as Trout, Rendon and Ohtani are healthy, they can afford a "Jeff Mathis" option at SS, all glove, no bat. In that's sense, sure I'd be open to it, but the way Simmons opted out, calling it mental health, I'm just not convinced there weren't some hurt feelings and skepticism.

Personally, I'd go with Rengifo. He's hit at every minor league stop, can run, and is a solid average fielder. If they stop yanking him around between bench and starting, AAA and MLB, he could establish himself and become a league average SS making the league minimum.

Can we afford "Jeff Mathis" at short, second and catcher when one of Trout, Ohtani, and Rendon isn't in the lineup? Because that's the current likely scenario for 70% of our games.

no we can't.  Because right now it's Jeff Mathis at SS and 2b.  And a couple of 22/23 year olds in the OF with an overpaid declining player as their backup.

Lol at yanking Rengifo around @Second Base.  Earn you innings.

Settling for someone that has no bat just seems gross. I understand that may be realistic but I still don’t like that.

If they’re exceptional defensively (big if) I think it’s certainly realistic given our issues last year. If everyone’s healthy (big if) the offense should sustain someone like that.
