Because having a high quality camera would show that all the "squatches" they "catch" are actually just bears and other normal wildlife.

Blurry photos + furry animals = THAT THARS A SQUATCH x Ratings. This is simple math.

I gave up on this show some time ago because of the sameness, inane chatter and the utter predictability of it all. It seems that every time they have great equipment (once they had four high-def cameras trained on a single site where they had put out some bait), something invariably goes wrong. In the case of the high-def cameras, when they came back the bait was gone and all four cameras had malfunctioned and not captured any images. These people are either completely stupid or they want to make sure that they don't record anything conclusive (either because the show would be over, or it would prove that something other than sasquatches is out there doing all this stuff).

I did like the Wendy's commercial they did when they're walking up to a restaurant and a sasquatch comes out with a burger in a bag and all they can talk about is the sandwich.
