They nearly became label mates with their friends in Pearl Jam considering Jack Irons drummed with them and even got Eddie Vedder the job as singer through mutual friendship after Andrew Wood died.

The San Francisco Giants announced on Thursday that Cristin Coleman, the wife of two-time Cy Young Award winning pitcher Tim Lincecum, has died. 

"Our deepest condolences go out to Tim, Cristin’s family and all those whose lives she touched as a friend and teacher," the Giants said in a statement shared on Twitter. "She was beloved by the Giants family and her caring and genuine spirit touched those of us who were fortunate enough to know her during her and Timmy’s years with us."

According to the San Mateo Daily Journal, Coleman, a principal at Washington Elementary School in Burlingame, California, died surrounded by family in late June following a bout with cancer...
