Now it’s coming into clearer focus why I predicted a 19-32 finish to the season.

Mostly crappy hitting, mostly crappy bullpen that neutralizes the solid starters work, mediocre defense, mostly a difficult schedule, and a fast declining manager

I never want to obnoxiously escalate plunking hitters.

But my personal rule of thumb is you better not be letting the opposing team pitch inside more aggressively than you do.

All the fawning over the amazing Blue Jays performances from some amazing individuals is annoying.

It’s not that it isn’t true.

It is just that the real story is the Angels have a shitty pitching staff that makes it really easy for good players on the other team to show their greatness.

We are 5-5 in our last 10 games, 6 of those games were against the Dodgers and Blue Jays and you think we will finish 2-19?  There are better ways of being miserable than exaggerating our ineptitude.
