Point is if the angels don’t want to be laughing stocks they need to win this weekend and go from there. This series is a blessing.

Yep.  I’m expecting 2 of 3.  It’s baseball so you can’t assume a sweep.

Did the home plate ump really call 3 balls on pitches that were all strikes, during Escobar’s 9th inning at bat?

Robo umps, PLEASE!

They are getting worse then ever at calling them.

Anyway, props to Ohtani: two doubles and 5 innings despite fouling the ball off his knee

To me it didn’t appear that way.  Earlier in the game when I was only “watching” the game on my phone it appeared there were some bad calls. But it didn’t look like Iglesias got squeezed in that last at bat where he gave up the homer. It absolutely looked like Escobar was sitting on the change up and Iglesias left it up a bit.

How did Ohtani look on the mound overall?  I didn’t get to see him pitch.  Watching on the game day app it looked like both times he got runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs he dialed it up to upper 90’s and hit 100.  I didn’t see the balks, were they obvious balks?  He gave up a couple of walks and those looked, from the app, that he just completely lost it for a couple of batters, as I think one was a 4 pitch walk.

The dude is a freak of nature.  Two doubles and a 108 mph line drive off the pitcher.  Oh and when he plays the outfield it appears the ball is afraid of him as I only remember him fielding one ball in the handful of times he has played out there.
