He dropped a throw/tag on a stolen base attempt.  The runner was initially called out, even though the ball ended up about 10 feet away.  Runner then started wandering off the field since the ump called him out, then the 3rd base coach started screaming the runner was safe.  Runner got caught in a weird-looking rundown after that, before the umps eventually sent him back to 3rd and said he was safe.  For some reason, Rendon was laughing while some of this was going on.

That does sound funny. If the dude is called out then the play is dead.

Well, it just seemed odd that Rendon was the one who was laughing, since he made the terrible play that eventually led to the runner being called safe.
