You think DeSantis is a lukewarm conservative? I think he would appeal to a lot more than Trump does. You also lose those that only voted to vote against Trump.

No he’s way more conservative but hasn’t faced the full arsenal of attacks. They’ll find the racist rock or fat girl he banged his senior year. Can he get off the mat? I think some limp dick moderates and so called cons will be open to trump after two more years of this economy. It’s A prime example of why women shouldn’t vote. These hen pecked fuckers , like women , let emotions drive their decision making process

We are up against a group that knows no moral limit. They’ll endorse lawlessness, late term abortion , and child mutilation to form a coalition. As a conservative libertarian, I’m going to have to accept some big government actions to save this country and preserve our Christian Judeo values. Don’t buy the lie dems will be ok with trump out of the picture. It’s traditional America and Christian’s the left hates and they’ll stop at nothing to destroy both. We have to take the same mentality that we aren’t stopping until we stomp these fuckers out.

I look forward to seeing how much money Trump bilks out of his followers before he gets his shit pushed in during the primaries. If by some miracle he makes it through the primaries he will lose by a bigger margin than 2020. Maybe that’s the rock bottom the country needs politically or at least the reps before they pull their heads out of their asses.

Pull their heads out of their ass and nominate Romney ?

I hate that we’re going to have to wade through him and his nonsense for two more years.

California is a prime example of appeasement strategy failures. It’s now too late to save Cali. The moderate liberal light republicans have proven ineffective. Trump made mistakes but I have no doubt he will punish the far left this time. People today wouldn’t love Gen Patton the man but he was built for leading men at war.

Nothing drives Dem votes out like Trump on the ticket.  Biden's corpse could probably beat him.

And independents. I was Republican my whole life, until about five years ago. I switched to unaffiliated.  I will, first and foremost, vote against Trump and everyone who thinks like him. Then, I will vote to punish a Republican Party I have grown to despise, regardless of whether the candidate is in the likeness of Trump. These are my voting motivations.

Once the party returns to normalcy, I will consider voting for its candidates again, because I lean right on more issues (I actually did vote for the Republican AG since democrats are so horrible on crime, punishment, and policing - issues in which I am very conservative).

I think the mid terms were a bit of a wake up call. At least they should have been

Same here.  Now I am only voting (R) in some local stuff.  Voted R up and down the ballot for years before the cult was founded.  Getting called a lib for not liking anything Trump and who follows him is just lazy.

I've noticed you tend to bash many things on the right side of the spectrum (not just Trump) and very little on the left side so I assumed you were a lefty. Based on your postings here, I would never have guessed you voted (R) before. Kind of hard to honestly read people for who they truly are on an internet message board.

There seem to be a lot like you in aw. What does a Republican need to do for your support ? There is no shortage of insanity on the left. Whst makes their positions tolerable?

That's the point, it is a message board.  I don't care how anybody reads me. You didn't bold the part after Trump that included "who follows him." I don't need to bash the Dems here, y'all have 150,000 Twitter feeds a day to do that for me. I would gladly vote (R) again if the crazy stopped.  I am the first to say Biden should not ever run again.  If a bunch of fat fucks dressed up as toy soldiers with Biden is Jesus signs and Biden hats storm the capitol, and run around yelling elections were stolen, I will bash them.  Oh, never mind, those were Bidens people.  Just that logic I will bash it.

It's pretty obvious he's not a lib. I'm pretty sure he's said multiple times. I think I'm the only lib that regularly posts here.

How would you define 'lib'? What cornerstones of belief would most libs have? I'm genuinely interested as your political spectrum appears to be far narrower than most appear to be on this side of the Atlantic. Thanks.

"Liberal" in the U.S. would be center-right in most European countries. The progressive wing of the Democrats is more in line with the "liberals" of Europe.

It's why someone like Obama could be called a socialist despite his record as president being just a tad left of GWB.

Europe runs it's countries worse than us. If the US quit paying for Europe's defense they would be absolutely fucked.
