In all seriousness... I think that's a good question and can be asked of most coaching suggestions.  I've never even seen the guy interviewed on the radio or TV the last couple years.

Personally, I hate the idea of a former Oakland A as the bench coach... throw in his years as a Yankee and I'm a hard pass on the guy.

I have heard nothing about possible bench coach candidates so this is totally my opinion... If I had a 65-year old manager, I’d want a young bench who could be groomed as the successor.
