Would it be possible to trade Upton for a SP

I read where Boston would consider trading David Price 3 years 96 mil remaining on his contract, with JD Martinez mostly likely on the move I thought Upton for Price might make some sense for both teams.

Price is too questionable going forward (only 68 starts in past 3 seasons), and is 35 in August 2020.    No thank you

NTC makes this difficult. 

He waived it once because he wanted to come *here*, and he signed his new deal to be *here*. Moving him now, after he’s been injured and had a poor year, not only is selling low but not really good optics for other FAs or a good message to send to him. 

Just don’t think it’s likely.

I guess it could be tempting because right now David Price is legitimately a slightly better pitcher than Justin Upton.

I think Upton will have a bounce back season. Not ready to give up on him. anyways, we have Maddon and he'll fix what is broken with J-Up!

I think so, too, although bouncing back from a -0.9 bWAR, .215-hitting season shouldn't be too hard. He could put up better numbers and still suck.
