Ran into the Stanley Cup today

Walking thru the park today, I ran into the Stanley Cup! Every member of the St. Louis Blues gets time with it, and today was equipment manager Richie Matthews turn. Richie was a Verona NJ resident, and former long-standing equipment manager for the NJ Devils. A lot of Devils players and coaches live in my town, and Richie still has family here.

The Cup made a stop here a while back. One of our dentists at work, who has been a Golden Knights STH since the beginning, had her photo taken with it.

Cool seeing it in the front of the police car - seat belt properly in place, mind you.

this is rob scuderi after the kings won in 2012. I think his son is sitting beside him. I'd love to do this same thing, if given the opportunity.

My friend Mike was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Devils for 21 years. He was one of Lou Lamoriello’s guys. He took pictures of both of his daughters in the Cup as newborns. Funny how they won it on years his daughters were born...
