Still holding out hope they'll get to the playoffs by the time I'm 90. Transition couple-of-decades.

Also hoping I'll get to 90.

2020 will be Eppler's 5th season.   Isn't the consensus normally that it takes 4-5 years to rebuild a farm, to where stop gaps should only be occasionally needed?

They need to contend for at least a WC spot by 2020.

if we had gone into a full tank like many other teams, we'd be seeing guys like Thaiss, Rengifo, Ward, Canning, maybe Rojas, and a few others already.

La Stella looks pretty good. Simmons is looking better. Fletcher has been solid, as has Goodwin. I'm with Doc on this team: it's the pitching.
