Let's be honest though. The bullpen looked pretty good at the start of last year too. Then we couldn't get any of our starters past the 5th inning and our pen arms got overworked early in the season.

 

It's only been 4 games and I'm not too too worried about it just yet. But if our starters don't start going 6-7 innings, we're going to have the same problems.

Because of the depth of the pen you feel like anything within a run going into the 6th inning we'll have an edge. The key will be getting to that point

The offense has clear holes that won't be fixed until people come back but this bullpen is elite and there are pitchers waiting in the wings. Still a lot of question marks with the starting rotation but really liking the pen.

Any team missing their #2-3 best hitters are going to have holes in their offense. Some teams will be better able to absorb it, but look at Houston last year with their best guys going down. They have solid depth and they still struggled.

Since guys are garbage after two weeks, I’m glad to see AW is consistent both ways.
