I think without this comment the USGA may have paired Tiger and Sergio. With what has happened I think it would be a major disservice to Tiger to do that. Sergio's idiocy may have gotten him off the hook. He'll shoot mid-80s if he gets paired with Tiger

They were saying sports talk radio today that they wouldn't do it because they know Tiger wouldn't come back to that tournament citing all he cares about and needs is majors. So if we do see them paired it would have to be one of the four events.

As a public figure in a very public spotlight, Sergio needs to take a breath before opening his mouth to speak or answer questions.  I think it was an innocent, but stupid, comment.
