Anyone dealing with snow or cold ass conditions?

The Pacific Northwest has been getting pummeled since last Sunday. Non-stop snow outside of one day of clear skies, but with sub 20 degree temps so nothing is melting. 

We got two feet of snow and counting. Snow is coming down as I type this and it's in the forecast for the next few days.

Yep.  Supposed to get 2 feet+ over the next couple days.  20 degrees and high winds.  Good times.

it was 35* here in glendale last night. that's pretty rare for us.

still saw kids in shorts and not wearing any jackets this morning. the all-fleece-all-the-time crowd was pretty happy, however.

Last week we hit 37 below.

Not for more than a minute.  It is crazy cold.  Fortunately by daytime it was only 25 below.

When the snow first started here in Seattle we had like 4 inches of snow and everyone was triggered and cleared the grocery stores shelves.

One of my relatives in Portland said the same. I was up in Reno for the past few days and they got some snow. Supposedly more snow/freezing rain is in the forecast.

I just got back from a camping trip in Joshua Tree. It was in the high 20’s at night plus windchill. It was crazy windy. Does that count?

Just got back from 4 days near Tahoe. Even at 3500ft, we had 18" of new snow. Soft, dry, deep snow. Was really beautiful, although digging out the truck and the driveway just to leave was not fun. Kids had a blast on the sled track we made. 

The view of the Sierra's from the 5 was epic. So much snow, and far down into the foothills, too.

SoCal is getting its first winter in like a decade. Large storms and cold weather. And even being stuck working in the rain (which sucks), i couldnt be happier. Wish it would stay like this another few months.

Do you pretty much stockpile for the winter and stay indoors for a few weeks when it gets like that?

Not really.  Doesn't stay that cold although it has been below zero for a week now.  Only freezing rain or a blizzard really stops things out here.

I was once in cody, wy when temp was like that.  It literally snowed INSIDE the truck from steam rising from bodies and freezing.
