Hypothetical Blockbuster deal with Arizona

I actually think Greinke is the type of pitcher that's going to be successful through his mid-30's.  He knows how to pitch.  Now obviously, there are limits on the amount of velocity you can lose and still be effective (see Jered Weaver), but as long as Greinke can stay north of 86/87, he should remain a solid pitcher. 

Now 3 years and 95 million solid.  Not even 3 years 75 million solid. But somewhere between 3 years 50 million and 3 years 60 million is probably where his value is. 

But no team is going to eat 45 million for a still good pitcher to pitch for someone else.  Not unless the prospect coming back makes it worth it, and I don't think the angels need to be offering that much.

It might have, never know.  maybe the stress of the extra characters that i really dont give a damn about on a message board would have been too much for my poor middle aged heart.   Especially with that trickly little asterisk to bypass the forums rules on language, shame shame shame.
