I'm waiting for this guy to get figured out, but he keeps hitting (just hit another home run). The saddest is that we could have used him to acquire some pitching help like Trevor Bauer.

We did use Segura for a pitcher, Grienke just didn't stay around.

The Brewers are already trying to sign him to an extension. Maybe when he contract is about to end in about five years, the Angels can trade a few prospects to have him as a two month rental.

I will say this and leave it at that. Of all the players that have come through Orem/provo in the last 10 years or so, there is no doubt that segura was the best player in that time span and that list includes trumbo, bwood, Kendrick, kotchman, cowart, and others.

I just watched his 3 hit game, most of them were cheapies - josh hamilton type singles.  His 4 hit game was all on fastballs, every single hit i saw was on a fastball, I'm not sure why the league keeps throwing fastballs to him...probably because braun is behind him, but still you have to test him on breaking stuff more.

Most scouting reports pegged him as a 2b/SS who can hit 15 HR and steal 30+ bases to go with a .300 BA. The uptick in power this year is definitely surprising(maybe Braun hooked him up? jk of course). Other than Trout, he was the next guy I was most excited to watch on this team for years.

 

If the power development is real, he could become a 15-20 HR SS to go with his elite speed. Brewers have got to be loving the return they got

Hanley Ramirez who could at defense.

Dude will probably end up just behind Tulo, Andrelton Simmons, asdrubal Cabrera and Andrus as a top SS. He's nearly in the same class as Reyes, Aybar and perhaps a few others. When Hardy leaves Machado belongs at the top of this list.

I don't consider Hanley Ramirez as a SS. He's not even a 3B.

Irregardless, he probably ends up as a top 25 most valuable property (service time a big factor here) in baseball by season's end.

giving away segura for 10 games of greinke is probably the biggest mistake dipoto has made so far, along with signing crap pitchers and overpay declining stars
