usually that tv strike zone is very slightly generous up and down while being very slightly tight side to side,

i don't understand why Ohtani can't hit the day before a start, I understand after he pitches if he needs to go into recovery/ice treatment. 

but the day before he can do his bullpen work before the game and hitting won't hurt his arm.
