Yankees release Adam Lind

If not for the already glut of options i might think it would be worth a look, but it seems Clear they are content going in with Valbuena getting the bulk of the non Pujols at bats from the 1B spot with Carter in the wings.

He's a lefty who had an .875 OPS last season. Only one sub-.800 OPS season in the last five, and that was with Seattle in 2016. Too bad we have a logjam at all the positions he plays.

hes even played some OF so would fit the flexibility angle.  but i dont see it at this point weve got too many bodies already even if hes likely better than they are

He's going to land on someone's ML roster. I cant imagine he would take a minor league deal with us.

We are full up. Valbuena has a guaranteed contract.

Yes but it’s less about Valbuena and more about a guy like Carter.  Lind can’t play 3rd, so you’d still need a 3rd baseman.

Lind and Valbuena are basically the same player. Although, Lind has a more reliable bat. It looks like Colin Walsh will be the teams utility infielder. Colin can play all four infield positions and is a switch hitter. 

Chris Young and EY can both play all outfield positions.

Chris Carter and EY can both play all outfield positions. 

You mean Chris Young? I have trouble seeing Carter in Center Field
