John Kasich says he may leave the GOP

"If the party can't be fixed, Jake, then I'm not going to be able to support the party. Period. That's the end of it." Kasich said in an interview with anchor Jake Tapper.

This was in reference to a line of questioning about that piece of garbage that just won his primary in Alabama.

I've always liked Kasich, even if I don't agree with some of his conservative fiscal stuff.  I can accept the moderate approach he seems to embrace.  I believe he would work with democrats to make ACA more functional.  I also believe he wont be so impossible about the environment like so many of these "new" conservatives are.  He's also not a psychopath nationalist which seems to be the hot trend in on the conservative side of the spectrum these days.  I sort of hope this guy and the colorado governor do that unity ticket (for now they say they wont).  I luv me some moderate politics.

I plan to leave the GOP as well. Not as newsworthy as Kasich leaving, I guess. I'll never join the Dems, but I am going to register independent.
