Who would you rather have behind the plate?

For years people bitched about Scioscia not letting his best catcher more...

I don't have a problem with Maldonado playing the majority of the games. He's the best option on the roster, no doubt. But IMO he's also clearly out of gas and should have been given more days off along the way. I don't think it's a stretch to say Perez could handle 45 games, giving Maldonado an extra 25-30 days off

Not only has Perez been in Mike's dog house all season, the dog house was located in SLC for most of the season.

Perez has about 15 games with the Halos this year, if that.

Graterol has played about 30 or 40 games and Maldonado has played something like 130/ 140.

Maldonado has 14 HRs - has shown some pop and actually hit better than expected earlier in the season.

Now it's the dog days (speaking of dog houses) for especially catchers and his offense has tailed off significantly the second half.

As for Perez, he did something behind the plate that Mike S. didn't like back in April and was on the next plane to SLC not be seen again until September -- he may have been called up when Maldonado or Graterol were on the DL for a short stint.........but thinking back -- I knew Perez was in real trouble (dog house trouble) when I think one of our catchers went on the DL, and the Halos called up the guy from AA instead of Perez.  Think I got that right.

Do you know what he did?
