So after the 2018 season ends, what happens next?

I'm fine with a change, but I struggle with any ideas on who could be next. We don't have anyone obvious internal - no minor league managers seem to stick long enough to have any shot at being the heir. Alfredo Griffin is the only coach I could see. I guess Ebel. I don't see the Angels having interest in throwing a new/rookie manager into what will be vital years for the franchise with Trout.

I really worry we wind up with someone much worse than Scioscia, given Arte's track record with Baseball Ops guys during his tenure.

I think, barring the Angels falling completely flat this year or next, Scioscia gets extended in the offseason for a couple years, 2020-21ish, with Eppler, Scioscia, and possibly Arte tying their future with the club to Trout and Pujols' current contracts. Having a new manager learn on the job when the team should have a sense of urgency to compete with Trout and Pujols doesn't seem likely.
