Now that the congress and the talking yam have decided to save us all from unfair limitations on what ISPs could collect and sell...might be time to think about utilizing a VPN.

Anyone have suggestions? I see nordvpn is smart and running a promotion (or at least doing an advertising blitz so their name is getting out there). Anyone familiar with them?

Hey Red.

First, it should have been a government's job to protect a citizen's privacy. Illinois is smartening up I see. While the elite cushioned up there are making protection of privacy, a job for third party tools. convenient :D

Second, vpn really isn't a silver bullet because the policies vary from  provider to provider. Some might keep logs, some might not. Those registered in US will (and should) be bound by US laws to maintain logs and produce them in case any authority demands it for any reason.

Third, yes nord might be a decent option. i've used it once but refunded it because i bought ivacy instead. do check out your options and google things up. there are plenty of fish in the sea, pure might be a decent option too if it fits your criteria. but it all depends upon your perspective.

Again, it's awful third parties have to step in to do what lawmakers should've ensured.
