One concern is the defense.   But there have been past NCAA champions that relied on uptempo offense (see 1990 UNLV).

You have all heard of course of football programs having a recruit enroll in school a semester early (spring instead of the following fall)?
Well, for what I am thinking is one of the first times this has happened for MBB, Auburn's 5 star class of 2017 recruit Austin Wiley is enrolling a semester early at Auburn and will be playing within the next several days.

Noteworthy is who Auburn's coach is, the embattled Bruce Pearl.
Yep, he was the Tennessee coach when LB lost 121-86 to them in the 2007 NCAAT, and was later found guilty of numerous violations that forced his ouster at Tennessee with a just cause penalty.

cal was definitely winnable but when you go 10-21 at the FT line and lose by 1 that hurts.

Trier's becoming eligible was a big key.   UofA has the length and the athleticism, and enough defense, to make a deep run in the NCAAT.

UCLA needs to play a little better defense themselves.   The offense is certainly there for a deep run.

What a game on Saturday.  Our house is both UofA fans and UCLA fans...it was tough to watch.  Trier makes this club very solid and 9 deep.  Comanche and Pinder need to step up, but UofA will be a touch play.  

What impressed me about UCLA is Ball....the dude is just a freak.  Tired out near the end of the game, but wow.

Ball is like a mini-Magic Johnson.

Wonder if he ends up being a top 3 pick in June?    If the Lakers luck out and get a lottery top 3 pick and be able to keep it, do they draft Ball and use Russell as trade bait to get a really solid experienced wing player in here to play alongside Ball and Ingram?

USC is still hanging close to the Top 25, while UCLA hit a bit of a wall.

The Bruins defense is still a concern.
