Tough to find much.  He went to Howard College.  He's a J1 so still 19yo and will be until jan of 2017.  So effectively a high school kid.  Only got about 70 at bats.

He has a nice swing and looks his speed really good speed, arm strength is avg. . Wish I could see some game film, but I'm excited.

Non-Drafted:

Senior right-hander Enrique Oquendo...signed a free agent deal with the Los Angeles Angels

"The flame thrower has been an essential part of LU's bullpen for the past two seasons. He has a career 2.93 earned run average and picked up three saves. In 46 career innings, Oquendo has only allowed 15 earned runs."

Non-Drafted:

"University of Maine first team All-America East right-hander Logan Fullmer, who made the transformation from closer to starter in midseason, is looking forward to starting his pro career.

Fullmer became the Black Bear ace this past season, compiling a 4-2 record and a 2.55 earned run average. He allowed 62 hits in 70⅔ innings with 70 strikeouts and just 17 walks."

Non-Drafted

Cory Geisler, signs with Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and is listed as an outfielder/pitcher.

He led Texas St. in hitting this past season by hitting at a 340 clip. Geisler, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound lefty, also had the lowest earned run average (2.69) of any Bobcat pitcher.

Non-Drafted:

Actually awhile ago

Former University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout Ty Barkell has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Angels. Barkell, a tremendous first baseman, has inked the deal as a pitcher.

"Ty was very disappointed when the draft came around and his name was not called," Thomas said. "We talked in June after the draft and the decision was made to try the pitching direction. We had toyed with him pitching at USC Aiken the last couple of years, but each time I decided he was so valuable to our team playing first base and hitting in the four hole, it wasn't worth the risk.

"This summer and fall he dedicated himself to working on pitching and came to the stadium daily working as hard as anyone possibly could. On our annual Scout Day, I felt he was truly ready to show his talents on the mound so we let him throw to a few batters. He was ready, consistently throwing pitches between 92 and 94 MPH and he topped out at 95."

I like them picking up non drafted guys that performed well enough to keep playing toward a goal of making the majors. Some of these guys could have been simply overlooked because there are so damn many high schools to canvass that some of the older guys may have had to take a back seat simply because they are not top tier players but may just develop quicker with better coaching.

From what I can tell in that video, strong wrists, short path to the ball, a swing better geared toward line drive to all fields versus pulled fly balls. If he's truthful about his run time, then he's fast too.

We should ask fleshlight about his wrists, and short path to pulled balls.
