The sad thing is that animal agriculture is a a bigger cause of greenhouse gas emissions than the production and combustion of fossil fuels. Funny that no one talks about that.

Nope, this is just shit that vegetarians say.  In fact fossil fuel use has about 3x more impact than animal agriculture.

Yes, it has been the widely-held belief that animal agriculture accounts for 18% of greenhouse gas emissions, but that number is skewed. Here is one report that points out some of the fallacies: http://www.worldwatch.org/files/pdf/Livestock and Climate Change.pdf

Regardless of whether or not a person eats meat, here is a documentary (it's streaming on Netflix) that is worth watching: http://www.cowspiracy.com/

It points out that most companies (including the vast majority of environmental organizations) are essentially in it for the money and, as a result, these businesses are willing to go along with whatever ideology serves their best interest and bottom line.

Sorry, but that's bullshit, and the science says otherwise.

That documentary you suggested is also riddled with bullshit and outdated figures.

I remember when I was a sophomore in college.

I thought I knew everything too.
