It's true. Escobar has been horrendous at 3B in the field. Not good to have another bad defensive player at the other corner. Pujols bat and his approach may have declined significantly but his defense is still as good as ever.

Cron isn't great but it at least gives you a chance to keep Pujols rested some....Kind of a dilemma though....you want to get Cron enough playing time at 1b to get better but, as a team, as nate says, we're better with Pujols at 1b....

this. Not to thread derail, but yesterday is the recipe the team is built on...which to me is a problem. When trout is superhuman we can hang with anyone. When hes human the team is mediocre.

Yes, every team has a guy its built around. We just arent really built after trout. The rest of these guys need to step up and at least be average this year, we cant afford any black holes.

Pujols' defense is underrated. He is still a pretty good defensive 1B even at this stage of his career.
