At the game, so far I've been told the Angels suck four times and once by a gentlemen with tattoos on his face. As long as I don't get shank, enjoy Hector shutting up the crowd, and the Angels win I'll count this as a successful game for me.

Looks like FSW has turned on the pitching velocity switch in the scoring box at the lower right of the screen. I don't think I've seen it all spring before tonight. They've also started putting the batter's name below the pitcher's. Must be regular season stuff.

I wonder why Choi was never given a shot. He's only 24 years old with impressive minor league stats.

Well I guess I'll answer my own question. He's slow with doubles power and only plays power heavy positions(1b and LF)

 

With that being said, I'd take him over Cron. Bat him in front of Trout or 9nth in the order. 

Reminds me of Casey Kotchman.

 

Disclaimer: I've only seen a few of his atbats and looked up his stats. The eye test could say he's terrible.

This team sure does fit the Scioscia mold much better than Dipoto's teams. High contact, low strikeout, speed on basepaths opposed to low contact with emphasis on OBP and power with less speed.

That's not to say Eppler is better than Dipoto or that Dipoto's plan was wrong, it just sure seems like it was going to be futile as long as it was Dipoto V. Scioscia.
