Watkins worst enemy was Watkins.    So much talent and yet ? marks

Cooks has been consistent since coming into the NFL.  143 catches for around 2,200 yards since 2016, and one of only THREE NFL WRs (Larry Fitzgerald and Antonio Brown) with at least 1,000 yards receiving and at least 5 TDs receiving in each of the past 3 seasons

Still need to address the LB shortage.

It'sssssss training camp time!

And like a year ago, Aaron Donald will miss the first two weeks of it.    But this time, if he doesn't report by August 7, he loses his UFA status for after the season.

He is a ferocious private workouts guy by all accounts, and thus figures to be in solid shape already when he reports.

Take care of him, Les Snead.   He's your defense anchor.   Pay the man.

Holding out of camp is a longstanding NFL tradition. It goes back as least as far as “hi mom”

True, but back-to-back seasons?   Both sides need to give in, but Donald is taking this holdout thing too far.   He is the best defensive player in the NFL; but no one, and I mean no one, should hold out an entire pre-season in back-to-back seasons.   The ONLY saving grace is that he has a great off-season regimen, reportedly.   That allowed him to be ready by week 2 a year ago to play like himself, despite missing the entire pre-season.

Supposed progress made on a new Donald contract, let's hope it's done by this coming weekend.

lo and behold, Aaron Donald signed a new contract today. Highest paid player outside of a couple of QBs. Will be in camp tomorrow and is expected to be ready for game 1 vs. Oakland on Monday night. Should be fun to watch him and Suh play together.

good, we wwill not have to keep going thru this with him every year.

was a little concerned with how oakland opened up the game. but the defense responded well the rest of the night, only giving up six more points and none in the second half. that was terrific.

i like goff and gurley. good combo together. i'm also glad to see austin isn't here any more. guy was a lot of talk but didn't produce enough.

Cooks is a huge addition, and already showed it yesterday.  Goff just barely missed on a few passes, including a deep pass to Woods.

The offense gets even better after Sunday, when OL Jamon Brown returns from two game suspension.

Littleton showed a lot in the LB corp.

They totally shut down the Raiders in the second half, without hearing Donald's name being called much.

Zuerlein was Zuerlein, 4-5 FG's and only miss being on the dirt from close to 50 yards, and routinely kicking off 70-75 yards.

Hekker was Hekker, 2 punts averaging close to 60 yards.

Gurley was Gurley, 108 rushing yards and 3 catches/39 yards.

Read many reports saying Peters was the man of the match as he shutdown the Raiders WR the second half to where there were no completions his way. I still wish he was with the Chiefs and had a pick six yesterday. If they gel this team can go far. The key is to ride a good young QB on a rookie contract and pay everyone else as a supporting cast. The Chiefs are rocking the same model.

i've missed parts of the game. have the rams gone for a two-point conversion after each TD? and is there any reason why? maybe this is a good day to practice this particular skill.

also wondering why they had 4th and 1 just now and decide to go for it instead of kicking a short FG. maybe the same reason? trying to run the score up against the cards?
