The Phillies of the AL

The way this angels team is built and currently being run, it's the direction they're headed in.

 

The Phillies were a team with a terrible front office trying to replace their overpaid vets with more overpaid vets every year at the expense of actually developing their own talent.

 

Phillies 

 

2011: 102-60

2012: 81-81

2013: 73-89

2014: 73-89

2015: 56-89

 

Angels

 

2014: 98-64

2015: 72-71

The phillies did have a great stretch from 2008(world series)-2011 thanks to the talent they developed previously.

Unfortunately, the Angels don't have that luxury.

There's really no comparison because no other team in recent memory has allowed its manager to guide a rudderless ship this long.

Im in no way trying to polish a turd here, but you guys cant be serious.

One of the main reasons this team is so average this year (average, not bad) is particularly because of their youth movement.
