Is it me or does it seems like fire fighters are getting killed on a more frequent basis? This is absolutely terrible

not sure, but if it is, id say a big part of it would be because were seeing so many more fires. At least on california, brush fore season used to be july-october, now its year round. This drought is critical. Its burning from canada down to mexico

The Carpenter 1 fire here a couple of years ago burned about 28,000 acres before it was put out. I used to find ash on my car every morning before I went to work. It took over a month and a half to put it out.

This was in the Times. While it doesn't say that firefighters are getting killed more frequently. It does show the nature of the beast currently, and the limited resources we have.

When a Washington fire chief called for help, no one was left

Thats a real problem. Theres only so much resources for the wildland fires, and when so many are going at once, they run out quick. I dont thonk theres a ton of those air tankers available
