Offense: from best to worst - how'd it happen?

Recommended Posts

all I know is this team is wasting really good pitching...reminds me of other years when the pitching was good and the offense was looking for an "impact" bat... only this version is worse.  They just can't afford to keep wasting the good pitching they're getting.

Albert Pujols' OPS:

2010 1.011

2011 .906

2012 .859

2013 .767

2014 .790

2015 .701

Five years older, and 300 points lower.

Six more years to go.

And decreasing EVERY year since 2010, except for a slight jump in 2014, granted pitching is better now than in 2010.

At this rate, his OPS will plummet to .600 by 2018. Hopefully, that is followed by an "I am announcing my retirement as an active player."

You stay out of it, MLBPA!
