After their 4-3 win over the Angels on Friday, the Mariners remain two games behind the A's for the second American League Wild Card spot. Each team has two games remaining, and one A's win or Mariners loss would eliminate Seattle. Thus a victory over C.J. Wilson and the Angels on Saturday is essential, and with their season on the line, the Mariners turn to rookie James Paxton.
