Wasn't Beane the mystery "baseball executive" who was quoted saying that Mike Trout would be considered the best player in baseball by the end of his 2nd season, if he wasn't going to be already considered that by the end of his rookie season, when the Angels called Trout up 2012?

I think Trout could be the best player that ever lived.  He needs to learn how to hit fastballs up in the zone, which is easy for most power hitters.  Learning to hit that pitch would mean less strikeouts, more balls in play, more chances to use his speed.  At that point he will be the most complete player ever.  

 

.300 BA, 35+ home runs, 110+ rbi, 30 SB, 120+ runs, 1.000 OPS, Gold Glove center fielder and good throwing arm.
