A's GM Billy Beane has insisted his Trade Deadline deal to acquire Jon Lester was made with an eye toward winning the AL West, and if that's the case, then this is the time for Lester to shine. He will oppose fellow southpaw C.J. Wilson on Saturday in the second meeting of a three-game series between the contenders for the division title.
