There is some major music hipster shit going on in it but still a fun read.  I don't see how you can't give anything to Metallica, they were the biggest band in the world in the mid 80's.  He addresses it but still don't agree.  Also wish it was just rock because I don't care for rap so I feel like there was a whole missed era there.

Not sure I would go with Velvet Underground over The Doors, though they are both deserving and easily two of my favorite American rock bands. I was glad to see him list The Black Keys as the 2011-2014 rep.
