I have an older Microtek ScanMaker 5700 that was a good flatbed scanner until recently when image quality suddenly went to crap.  This is what today's batch of Costco coupons looks like.  The right side now has a long yellow streak that runs the length of every image.  (the yellow areas are white in real life)

What do you think?  Fixable or an e-waste candidate?

Lol ^^ gotta be sarcastic right?

mp, I would say it is ewaste unless you want to take it apart and check all the optics.  They are inexpensive.

Repairs on such an item are usually a waste of time and money, unless you see something obvious that you can fix without parts. Possibly try downloading an updated driver. My guess is that you have some hardware that finally went.
