Please. Like we are any different. We suffer one terrorist attack and invade two countries half way around the world and stay for a decade. Rockets hit Israel every day. They mostly miss and it's so normal that it doesn't make the news at all. If Mexico were launching rockets at San Diego every day how long would it still be a country? 5 minutes?

I think he was speaking about the neighbor to neighbor sort of fighting in the region. There's just not an off switch there. We've done some dumb things too, but we generally resolve our conflicts in decades instead of centuries or millennia.

that's it, don. the conflicts in the middle east go back centuries. there's no end in sight to some/most of the fighting because neither side is looking for a compromise. they want things to resolve ONLY in a way that benefits themselves. compromise doesn't exist for an awful lot of them, and that's probably why their hatred for each other continues these centuries later.

Hopefully the reports of a revenge kidnapping and murder turn out to be untrue (the revenge part, the murder happened). Revenge like that does nothing. I'm glad the family members of at least one of the Israeli boys strongly condemned the attack. If no one speaks out against that it will continue to happen. Hopefully whoever is responsible is caught and gets life in prison. This is getting bad quickly.
