Good Times in Ukraine and Russia

They should have been kicked out of Crimea in 2014. This is what happens when a nation's sovereign rights are ignored because of fear that the conflict could increase. Now neighboring countries want to run to NATO protection because they see the blueprint has been drawn.

Biden approves sending advanced rocket systems to Ukraine

President Biden said Tuesday that the United States is sending "more advanced rocket systems and munitions" as part of the latest weapons package for Ukraine, but stressed that his administration is not enabling the Ukrainians to strike outside their own border.

It's the 11th package approved so far and will include helicopters, tactical vehicles, Javelin anti-tank missiles, Stinger antiaircraft missiles, and other advanced weapons.

"We have moved quickly to send Ukraine a significant amount of weaponry and ammunition so it can fight on the battlefield and be in the strongest possible position at the negotiating table," the president wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times on Tuesday.

"That’s why I’ve decided that we will provide the Ukrainians with more advanced rocket systems and munitions that will enable them to more precisely strike key targets on the battlefield in Ukraine."

Biden can fuck off. The US would never cede an inch of its sovereign land and yet the Obama administration was ok with the Ukraine losing Crimea and now the Biden administration is ready to give Russia the coastal industrial sector of Ukraine.

Which party is in Putin's pocket?

You only read the headline didn't you?

Ukraine Will Survive and the US is Preparing to Arm it for Years, Says Pentagon’s Hicks

Deputy Defense Secretary Hicks discusses Russia, China, and inflation’s effects on the Pentagon’s buying power at the 7th Annual Defense One Tech Summit.

The United States announced two weeks ago that it would begin sending long-range artillery systems, helicopters, and other additional heavy weapons to Ukraine as part of a new $700 million arms package. But, said Hicks, the department is also trying to take a longer-term approach to supporting Ukraine, five, 10, and 20 years into the future.

Got to keep the military machine going.  Coincidence, that after getting out of a 20 year war, we jump right into another one that may fund them for another 20 years?

Biden administration announces additional $1 billion in military aid for Ukraine

The Biden administration announced on Wednesday it was providing an additional $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine to fight Russia, a package that includes shipments of additional howitzers, ammunition and coastal defense systems.

US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday ahead of the announcement, which the Pentagon said included providing Ukraine with 18 howitzers, 36,000 rounds of howitzer ammunition and two Harpoon coastal defense systems.

If we’re dumping that much cash into Ukraine and Putin just makes hollow threats I think we can be certain he’s just 100% full of shit.  So how about we carpet bomb the shit out of the Donbas and about 100 miles into Russia and end this fucking thing and let him die of cancer or whatever’s ailing him.

He won’t do shit.

Have you seen what Putin is doing in Ukraine?  You think he's making hollow threats.

Chances us carpet bombing the shit out of Donbas and 100 miles into Russia.  0%.  Chances him carpet bombing whatever city in the Ukraine that launches long range ammo, 115%.

Russia will, without thought of civilians or loss of life carpet bomb, whatever threats they perceive.  Meanwhile the US will follow whatever pussy convention is in place.

In other words.

Putin is a pussy.  He warns us to stay out of the war and yet we give Ukraine billions?  That’s not crossing a line?  He’s bluffing.

Well this is less than ideal.

Is Lithuania on the verge of dragging NATO into Ukraine war? Moscow warns it will 'take actions' after alliance member blocks trains carrying goods to Russia's Kaliningrad territory

The Kremlin has threatened Lithuania after EU-sanctioned goods were blocked from reaching the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, fuelling fears of NATO being dragged into the war.

Moscow warned of 'very tough actions' against the Western security alliance member after deliveries of coal, metals, construction materials and advanced technology were stopped from entering the Russian territory.

The Lithuanian chargé d'affaires in Moscow was told that unless cargo transit was resumed in the near future, Russia reserves the right to act to protect its national interests.

The Russian foreign ministry said: 'We consider provocative measures of the Lithuanian side which violate Lithuania's international legal obligations, primarily the 2002 Joint Statement of the Russian Federation and the European Union on transit between the Kaliningrad region and the rest of the Russian Federation, to be openly hostile.'

Loyalist senator Andrey Klimov warned it was 'direct aggression against Russia, literally forcing us to immediately resort to proper self-defence'.
