His overall stats aren't great but it seemed like this time up he was getting some clutch hits, not that that means anything since clutch isn't a real thing.

If he could be a 3 WAR player next year as a regular that would be very solid. Especially because it allows Green to focus on 2B so we can deal Kendrick.

Don't really see much with him. Decent glove, atrocious ability at the plate. 2 walks and 28 strikeouts in 104 MLB at bats is Brandon Wood level bad.

the thing that's impressive about that him is that so far ever bit of his value has come from defense which bodes well for being able to sustain a decent WAR even if his bat isn't all that great.  Small sample so far, but from what I can see he's an above average to very good defensive 3bman.

Definitely. I have confidence he could OPS .700+ next year which would make him a super valuable player. 3-4 WAR third basemen are pretty hard to come by these days.

I've been impressed with his glove, but don't believe in his bat nearly enough to buy into him as a suitable everyday 3B.

Wood though never even sniffed Jimenez' current BA at this level.

i don't see him as any kind of long term solution. he'll be the guy keeping third warm until we get a legit player there, which hopefully won't be long from now.
