Should the Angels trade Scioscia to the Phils?

For the record, I don't think he's gonna get trade. I do think he'll get a settlement and step down though.

The Mets might be a better fit. They have pitching prospects to give up, and more of an NL lineup that Mike likes than do the Phillies.

This board is comical. So many people call for his head and say he can't coach but then come up with some absurd trade value that teams would fall over for.

I came up with no absurd trade value...those that did were obviously being sarcastic (i.e...Lee/utley).

Again for the record: I do not want to see Scoscia go. Is a trade likely, NO, but not impossible either, it has happened before, and it usually involves high profile managers like Scoscia. AngelArcher is probably right here and it is more likely that they work out a settlement.

My idea in a trade would be to eat 4-5 million (basically knocks it down to 4 years for the team acquiring him), and get some low to mid level pitching prospect, or MLB ready bullpen arm. Not absurd trade value at all, IMO.
