Anyone else watching this year? It feels like a life saver to me. Watching the Angels is painful. It's good to see these kids care about the game, be excited about the game, and be crushed when they lose.

I'm watching this Iowa vs Michigan game, and this one kid from Michigan is a grown ass man. He's 12 years old, but he's got to be 6'2" 180lbs, and I think he has a 5 o'clock shadow.

Of course a big thing I enjoy seeing is all the kids' favorite players. In this game Trout seems pretty well represented in the Iowa team while surprise surprise, Miggy is the man for Michigan. I wonder if anyone tracks who the most popular player is, among the Little Leaguers.

I don't think they're allowed to call it that anymore. It's called the "10 run rule" now.

I wouldn't put it past Tiajuana to have forged a couple of these kids' birth certificates. I've never seen a group of 12 year old Mexicans with nary a mustache between them.

Before you call me racist, I too had a mustache at 12, I can make fun of other people with facial hair. That's how it works, right?

The kid is Grant Holman  @ 6'3 on the Chula Vista Eastlakes LL team. He is getting a lot of  media coverage here.

 

"Find a way" is their motto.

He's 6'4", they just showed a side by side graphic with Holman and Felix Hernandez, and it showed how he was an inch taller than Hernandez.

Anyone else think he looks like a young Erstad? Maybe Percy.

I guess he grew an inch then b/c the newspaper had him at 6'3
