So I guess it's safe to say that Hanson's first game back from the DL was an anomaly, huh?

I'd equate it to Ed Halicki bring signed in 1980, shutting out Milw in his first game and then sucking #%{*% after that.

I still believe that Aybar and Kendrick have value, so on the field we need a good catcher and 3B.  We are saddled with P&H, so maybe Trumbo and Bourjos together can fetch us a pitcher.  That category is where the team needs serious help - starters and relief.

 

The question to me is, can it be done in one year?

 

 

I honestly don't even care about the offense. It's about pitching.  Halos already have their stud in Trout, and if Pujols is healthy next year I'd expect him to be a good player. Trumbo is solid. They just need the rest of the guys around them to be league average. They need a complete overhaul of the pitching. WEav/CJ/Richards is the rotation for next year. Add 2 arms via trade/FA. Need to really dig deep and find some gem bullpen arms for CHEAP or some good guys on 1yr deals, then hope that some of the new guys from the farm can play a role next season(Morin, Alvarez, Maronde)

 

It can be done, as Boston went from a joke last year to the best record in MLB so far this year, but obviously the Halos will need a lot of things to go right.
