Also your got to say Downs is actually good and has been for a long time. Willis hasn't been gone in a decade

Did I ever say Willis was anything more than a reliever?  I simply pointed out htat being left-handed and throwing in the late 80's isn't a death sentence as many of you indicated.  Willis looked fantastic tonight, his ball had movement, he kept hitters off balance, generated ground balls and put his pitches exactly where he meant to.  

 

Dontrelle Willis would probably be no worse in a left bullpen spot than Nick Maronde right now.

 

But apparently Willis could never be a major league reliever becuase he hasn't done well in a while but Scott Downs has.  Cool.

Hasn't done well in a while is saying it nicely. That's great he had a good stuff tonight. We're you actually there? Hey I can't wait for Willis to be here. Mike loves veterans he will fit in nicely with this group.
