Perry Minasian’s $34.4M bullpen has the highest ERA in baseball.

And they basically have to rebuild the entire pen again next year, too. Estevez, Moore, Garcia, Cimber, Strickland, Garrett, and Cisnero are all free agents (though some will likely be gone before the end of this season). It's highly unlikely that Stephenson will be back at the beginning of next year.

So of the current guys, only Guillo Zuniga (on the IL), Suarez (hitting arbitration again), and Fulmer are controlled past this season.

I imagine we'll see Joyce and at least a couple other guys from the system in the pen next year. Can't go through the same thing again on the free agent front.

Does this make you happy? Because you've spent a lot of time ranting about the same things for the last 3 weeks.

If you have ideas for more interesting threads, post those.

Perry spent $34.4M on this group, and they still suck.

Stephenson: $11M

Moore: $9M

Estevez: $6.75M

Garcia: $4.25M

Cisnero: $1.75M

Cimber: $1.65M

Except for Stephenson, there’s still time to improve. That said, it definitely doesn’t look promising right now. I know BPs can be volatile, but this was specified as an area where the team felt they had really improved.

Maybe a salad for lunch

Perry orders a Pittsburgh Salad daily. You all just don't understand how hard weight loss can be for some.

Yeah you're exactly right to bring this up, although I think Cimber has one more year of arbitration.

Perry's inability to utilize fringe prospects and young players under team control in depth and low leverage situations is killing the organization.

You have to have an Andrew Wantz or Austin Warren or Oliver Ortega getting Hunter Strickland's low leverage 6th inning outings.

This isn't negotiable in team building. Nobody else is doing this shit that the Angels are. The lower level of the roster has to have guys who are working on moving to the middle or top level of your roster.

This bullpen has absolutely 0 long term upside, and its currently in about as bad of shape as you can imagine. It's just a disaster and completely symbolizes why the Angels have gotten worse every year with Perry.
